Planters are rolling while coronavirus weighs on the industry

Welcome to the weekly Around Farm Progress podcast from the nation's leading agricultural information source. Each week we "travel" around the country talking with Farm Progress editors to explore hot topics and ideas for the industry. This week we're focusing on planting, and the spring work ahead.

With planters rolling down south the podcast kicks off talking with Shelley Huguley, editor, Southwest Farm Press, where a little extra help is a good thing, and it appears the weather is cooperating. Next, we talk with Holly Spangler, editor, Prairie Farmer, about the Midwest situation including her conversations with suppliers about how the planting season is shaping up. And we wrap up with a trip to Georgia to talk with Brad Haire, editor, Southeast Farm Press. Planter are rolling, but coronavirus is causing a different problem – it's putting a crimp in 2020 university research.
